Bathroom Vessel Sink Vanities

Vessel Sink Vanities

When I sometimes look at vessel sink vanities, I can’t help it and I remember back when a sink used to be just a place to wash your hands. A time when vessel sinks didn’t exist and we never related a sink with interior design or decoration. Times have really changed though. Today, one can find vessel sink vanities that look so good and can transform the overall look of a bathroom instantly.

The funny thing when I think about it is that vessel sinks used to exists in prehistoric times. If you think about it, the only purpose of a sink is to gather all the water that falls in them, and I am sure that back when the first sinks where invented they didn’t have the technology to shape them into the bowl like sinks we see today. As such, it makes logical sense that they used some sort of a vessel instead. Today, many years after we have perfected the art, we see many designers turning back in time and into bathroom vessel sinks again. The reasoning behind that trend is very simple as it lies upon the fact that we like to see new trends and we get easily bored.

I mean, can you compare the looks of those bathroom vessel sink vanities with any classic bathroom vanities? I know I can’t. It seems as if those bathroom vessel sinks are in a whole different league. The only problem of course is that they are not as practical. The more bowl like a sink is, the more the water will stay in it and vessels tend to be less bowl like than other sinks. Then again, there is a fine line to balance practicability and visual appeal. My wife and I are currently considering two bathroom vessel sink vanities and we are having a really hard time deciding on one.

We found one of them in one of those stores that offer discount bathroom vanities and it comes with plenty of storage space and two small bathroom sinks on top. My wife is in love with this double sink bathroom vanity but I am obsessed with glass vessel sinks which brings us to the second one. Imagine one of those cool looking vessel faucets coming out of the wall and right below it one of those red glass vessel bathroom sinks. That’s what I call eye candy, but my wife calls it expensive. She believes that all those contemporary bathroom vanities are just a waste of money and she would much rather get the cheap bathroom vanity instead.

The truth is that when it comes to vessel sink vanities, you have to invest some more money in order to get a quality vanity sinks that will last. Otherwise, you will just end up spending money for something that will most likely end up in a storage room a few months later. My recommendation is that the next time you are shopping for vessel sink vanities, you try and do your research and try to balance cost, quality, and practicability. That’s a recipe that always results into great bathroom vanities that will please you and the rest of them family!

I always argue with my wife about the new furniture we buy whether it’s for the bathroom, the bedroom, or any other room of the house so I know what you are saying. I always like more modern stuff and she wants practical pieces. However, we found a few vessel sink vanities that combine both and we will most likely buy one in the next few days. Any recommendations about where to get it from?

  4. Sure Mario. I always recommend to shop online. That way, you get to compare the various offers and also some of them offer free delivery and set up so you don’t have to worry about that! Hope this helps.

A travertine vessel sink is what I want. The travertine is a beautiful, natural stone that will look next to my walls. General cleaners will damage it, though, but I don’t think it’ll need much cleaning.

A vessel sink vanity in a contemporary style looks nice. The feature is timeless and the sinks can be bought in typical home improvement stores. You can also make them yourself if you’re capable.

Vessel sink cabinets come in all looks and materials for any type of house decorating. The one I have in my bathroom is wall-mounted with black-painted wood and white knobs.

Kraus vessel sinks sell some great sinks at affordable prices. The faucets and bowls come in all types of strange shapes, too. I have a white tulip ceramic sink myself.

  12. Ryan says:

I have a white vessel sink, too, but it’s not tulip, it’s just round and boring. I want to paint it if I can or at least install one of a more interesting shape.

I need to clear up some serious damage from my stainless kitchen sink. When the sinks are new, they’re all shiny and clean, but now it’s gotten really bad. I will need special creams or something to remove the scratches.

Ceramic vessel sinks are fun, but not so much if it’s just white like any other sink. Installing and DIY is fun. There’s even a guide on how to make a concrete sink.

  15. Lori says:

I prefer stainless steel vessel sinks myself. I want one that’s bowl-shaped and extremely shiny so I can see my reflection. It probably won’t stay that way, but I could learn to clean it.

  16. Bernice says:

I had no idea that bathroom vanities vessel sinks existed. However, now that I’ve seen it, I still don’t think I’d want one. I’d probably want some other sink type or design.

  17. Kayla says:

I agree with the previous commenters: white vessel sinks are not that stimulating. I want to get a vessel sink in a color that is really bold and striking but I’ll have to look everywhere.

If you don’t care about fancy designs for sinks, finding discount sinks is pretty easy with a few tips. There is a catch because there are a limited number of these sinks available.

I have a whole blog dedicated to installing, using, finding, designing a bathroom vanity vessel sink and much more. I’d just like to say that make sure that the sink design matches the rest of your bathroom.

I personally think the handmade copper vessel bath sinks are the best.
